Several members stressed the need to be ready so the district would not have to appoint an interim, with one member saying, "If the lump goes as planned, May 19, they would be on the board agenda for approval."
The posting will name a point of contact for applicant questions and the board asked Trisha to handle the listing and communications. Members also agreed to rank applications quickly (responses due by end of day May 1) so callbacks and interview scheduling can proceed without delay. The board said it would keep applicants confidential until finalists are identified and would perform reference checks only for candidates being advanced to later rounds.
