The property’s president, Edie Dreden, said the association has resubmitted documents and asked whether fines could be frozen while the city completes its review.
The magistrate declined to stop fines at this stage, noting the matter has been ongoing and that the village needs the process to finish. Rodriguez said the engineer submitted a revised report and that the building department is on track to complete its review; the magistrate accepted the village’s recommendation that fines continue and asked the property to return for a status report at a future hearing.
“Is it possible since we’ve resubmitted and now we’re waiting on the city, can we freeze at this point the…fees?” Edie Dreden asked; the magistrate’s answer was no, citing the need to finish the process. The magistrate urged the property to finish outstanding items and return with an update at the next status review.
Next steps: the village will finish its review of the engineer’s revisions and notify the property; the property must return for the scheduled status appearance.
