Township management announced that the Old Caln Meeting House was officially conveyed to Caln Township as of July 14, 2026, following Attorney General sign-off in March and Chester County Orphans' Court approval in April. The transfer documents require that the Friends group may continue periodic meetings; staff will prepare a leasing/usage agreement and ensure appropriate insurance and facility procedures before approving public use.
Manager Don said staff expect to have the paperwork and policies ready by August or September and noted a Friends' quarterly meeting requested for Oct. 18. "As of 07/14/2026, the old Caln Meeting House has been officially conveyed to Caln Township," he told the board, and asked volunteers from the Old Caln Historical Society to coordinate with staff on the draft agreement.
