Committee assigns follow‑ups: spreadsheet, summary and outreach to local trusts
Summary
Although the July 21 meeting lacked a quorum, members recorded several concrete follow‑ups: Nancy Walser will request an Excel spreadsheet from Dwight, Ned Beecher will provide a summary of mapping work by month’s end, and the group will contact regional trusts about sharing layers and easement capacity.

The committee recorded several actionable follow‑ups during the July 21 informal meeting despite lacking a quorum. The minutes assign tasks: Nancy Walser will request an Excel spreadsheet from Dwight for committee markup; Ned Beecher will prepare and distribute a summary of work completed so far by the end of July; and members will reach out to local and regional conservation organizations (LRCT, TNC, SPNHF, Black Bear Conservation Foundation, Chocorua Lake Conservation Foundation) to explore whether those organizations can take on easements or share mapping layers.
The minutes note that because USVLT does not cover Tamworth and Sandwich, committee members will need to build local data layers or obtain them from partners. These preparatory tasks are intended to let the group pilot the co‑occurrence scoring system on identified candidate properties at the next regular meeting, tentatively scheduled for Aug. 11.
