Supervisors approve hiring a fifth road crew member and a 4% wage increase

Supervisor Stefan Laessig moved to authorize hiring the "fifth guy," the motion was seconded by Dorothy Diehl and passed unanimously. The board recorded that the new hire should possess a commercial driver's license (CDL) and invited all five supervisors to participate in the interview process. Laessig said the presentation should serve as a baseline for evaluating progress after hiring.
Separately, the board agreed to apply 100% of the Vested Rate Stabilization Funds to employee healthcare costs while keeping employee contribution levels unchanged. The board also reviewed Schedule C and approved a 4% wage increase; the holiday schedule was left unchanged from 2024.
