Annie Featherston, a senior in the student leadership program, told the board the student council won the Oregon Association of Student Councils' Gold Council Award and a national Gold Council honor for the second straight year. She said the council—s projects included a ceiling-tile graduation project with 21 participating seniors and planning for Hydropalooza, the end-of-year carnival with Kona Ice, Gordos and inflatables.
Annie said student leaders were also managing a scaled-back leadership class for next year and working to recruit motivated students for future leadership roles. "We were awarded, as our student council for the Oregon Association of Student Council's Gold Council Award," she said in her report.
