"Staff is recommending demolition of 8 severely dilapidated and damaged structures which are in an unsafe condition and repairs are not economically feasible," staff said. Staff told council the estimated demolition cost per property ranges from $6,000 to $23,000 and that staff will seek demolition orders through legal counsel upon approval.
Council approved the action on a recorded 6-0 vote. Staff indicated the cost breakdown and property addresses are provided in the meeting packet and that legal proceedings will follow to secure demolition orders where owners do not comply.
