Residents urge better services, public restrooms as council debates local responsibility

He urged individuals and religious organizations to offer assistance and encouraged people experiencing homelessness to accept help and obey laws.
The comments highlighted sharply different perspectives in the community about who should carry responsibility for services and facilities. Council members did not take immediate action during public comment but acknowledged the concerns during later closing remarks and referenced local nonprofit and volunteer efforts supporting vulnerable residents.
