Trappe awards $130,154 influent screen contract, directs RFP and lead-line inventory amendment

On ARPA-funded infrastructure work, the Trappe Town Council unanimously approved awarding the influent screen rehabilitation contract to Bearing Construction for $130,154. Commissioner Water Chase moved to award the bid; the motion passed unanimously.
"Commissioner Chase made a motion to award the Influent Screen bid to Bearing Construction for the rehab of the current screen at the cost of $130,154," the minutes record. The council also requested an addendum to the sewer liner RFP (currently due Dec. 23) to increase the available amount to $75,000 and asked Town Administrator Erin Braband to contact Davis, Bowen and Friedel to obtain a contract amendment for an additional $40,000 for lead line inventory services.
The council scheduled a Dec. 23 workshop at 1:00 p.m. to finalize remaining ARPA allocations; staff will return with contract amendments and RFP updates for implementation.
