The Red Lion Borough Planning Commission elected Wade Elfner as chair and Beth Nidam as vice chair during its April 20, 2026 meeting.
Cindy Barley nominated Elfner for chair and Evan Hiester seconded; the commissioners voted unanimously to elect Elfner. Barley then nominated Beth Nidam for vice chair, a nomination seconded by Wade Elfner; that motion also passed unanimously. The commission approved the Nov. 17, 2025 minutes after Assistant Solicitor Sam Craley-Byerts requested the spelling of her name be corrected and Commissioner Evan Hiester requested corrections to his name. Hiester moved to approve the minutes with those changes and Nidam seconded; the motion carried.
The meeting ran its scheduled business and adjourned at 7:27 p.m. after a motion to adjourn by Cindy Barley that was carried by the body.
Why it matters: leadership and procedural votes determine who sets future agendas and shepherds applications. The newly elected officers will preside over upcoming land-use reviews and any follow-up on the sign ordinance changes the commission forwarded to borough council.
