Sheriff’s Office move date, post office reopening efforts and Nace’s Day update discussed

Sgt. Aita presented the police report and told the council that the Sheriff’s Office will move to its new location on Oct. 7. Commissioner Michael Sullivan said he has been working with parties to try to reopen the post office. President Schmidt noted that Yvonne Freeman was present to follow up on Nace’s Day, scheduled for Nov. 2, and said preparations are finalized.
No formal action was taken on the post office matter during the meeting; Nace’s Day preparations were recorded as complete.
