Trappe explores snow-removal and street-sweeper contracts; sidewalk plan revived

Town Administrator Erin Braband reminded the council the current snow-removal contract with P.E. Moore expires Dec. 31 and described three options: keep services in-house, ask P.E. Moore to submit a renewal quote, or put the service out to bid. The Council asked Administrator Braband to contact P.E. Moore and return a quote for review at the October meeting.
President Schmidt also asked staff to obtain pricing for a street sweeper to present at a future meeting. Commissioner Walter Chase requested again that the town examine installing a sidewalk along Rt. 565 between Home Run Baker Park and the school; President Schmidt said he will research the project and pick it back up.
