The Town of Trappe reported on Nov. 6 that its lead service line inventory was completed and submitted to the Maryland Department of the Environment on Oct. 15, 2024. Administrator Erin Braband told the Council the Town is preparing 252 letters to owners of properties whose service-line status is listed as unknown.
Council members voted to request that Davis, Bowen & Friedel amend their contract to continue work on the inventory and to use additional American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds if the Council chooses to approve the amendment. Administrator Braband said the amended contract will be brought back to the Council for review. The entry in the minutes records the Council’s direction but does not record a final contract approval.
