The Trappe Town Council voted Oct. 2 to award a $22,490 contract to Chesapeake Fence to install security fencing around town well houses and the water tower.
Administrator Erin Braband said the town received three bids for the work and that the selected project will enclose Well 4, Well 6 and the water tower together and Well 5 separately. The Council voted to award the project to Chesapeake Fence for $22,490.00; the motion carried unanimously.
The minutes indicate the work will be paid from ARPA funds. The council did not provide a construction start date at the meeting.
