Contractor reports stream cleanup, beaver trapping and amphibious excavator arriving

"We're gonna try to dig a 12 foot wide, get that moved out on either side," the contractor said, describing the planned excavation work and equipment delivery. The contractor also reported recent beaver-trapping results and said the team will coordinate with property owners and state inspectors to avoid returning flood risk to other neighborhoods.
Staff and contractors said the work will continue in the coming weeks, pending state inspections and available state budget dollars that the city may reapply for once the state budget is approved.
