Council reviewed recommended appointments to two advisory boards and indicated support for placing them on the consent agenda.
Chelsea Jackson presented Robin Glenn for appointment to the Post 8 seat on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (Cultural Arts Council representative) to complete an unexpired term ending 02/15/2030. Jackson said Emily Leitner put Glenn forward and that Glenn was the only candidate for the seat. Jackson also presented three nominees for the Douglasville Convention & Visitors Bureau advisory board: Courtney Crawford for Restaurant 1, Ethan Smith for Hotel 2, and Kim Ramos for Hotel 1 (unexpired term through 12/31/2027). Jackson noted Kim Ramos previously served on the CVB and is now managing a hotel in Douglas County.
Council members asked whether interviews had been completed; Jackson said interviews had been done where applicable and the council agreed to include the appointments on the consent agenda for formal action at the next regular meeting.
