Dana Gray explained that the parcels contain two existing warehouse facilities and that the OD (office distribution) base zoning approved in 2020 is not suited to warehouse uses, which in some cases prevented businesses from locating there. "So this is an effort to clean up that area," Gray said, recommending rezoning to reflect surrounding light-industrial uses. Council members indicated the item could be placed on the consent agenda for formal action at the next regular meeting.
