Council approves new assistant city manager role, reappoints treasurer and okays vehicle purchases

On procurement, staff recommended and the council approved the low/best bid of $52,004.97 to Yum Chevrolet of Galesburg for a 2025 Ram 3,500 cab chassis (with a separate contract to add dump body and plow), and a $39,005.18 sole‑bid to Victory Lane Ford of Litchfield for a 2025 Ram 5,500 cab chassis (including an $18,000 trade‑in). Staff said funds are available in the water division budget for both purchases.
