Douglasville council OKs placing multiple advisory-board appointments on consent agenda

Staff asked the council to place several advisory-board appointments on the consent agenda: Robin Glenn to the Parks and Recreation advisory board and Courtney Crawford, Ethan Smith and Kim Ramos to the Convention and Visitors Bureau advisory board.
Council vice chair Nicole Miller introduced several appointments and asked staff to summarize candidates. Chelsea Jackson, speaking for administration, said Robin Glenn was put forward by the Cultural Arts Council to fill the Post 8 representative seat on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for an unexpired term through Feb. 15, 2030; Jackson said Glenn was the only individual forwarded by the Cultural Arts Council representative Emily Leitner.
Jackson also presented three hospitality-industry appointments to the Convention and Visitors Bureau advisory board: Courtney Crawford (Restaurant 1 post), Ethan Smith (Hotel 2 post) and Kim Ramos (Hotel 1 post, unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2027). Jackson said appointees are industry representatives (hotel or restaurant) and that interviews had been completed where required. Council members agreed to place these items on the consent agenda for formal approval at the next meeting.
No council member voiced objections during the work-session discussion, and the mayor thanked Jackson and volunteers for their service.
