At its June 15 meeting the Redfield City Council accepted a single bid of $160,000 from RDO Equipment for a 2022 wheel loader.
Mayor Frank Schwartz opened the bid and the council voted to accept the RDO Equipment bid (motion by Mike Siebrecht, seconded by Matthew Weller). Later in the meeting council approved city and hospital/clinic claims and additional claims that included RDO Equipment $103,417.60 for a 2026 John Deere payloader with trade, Clausen Sanitation Inc. $15,903.00 for monthly garbage collection, and other listed items. The clerk/finance officer recorded city prepaid and unpaid totals: City Prepaid $62,973.87 and City Unpaid $86,733.49; Hospital & Clinic Prepaid $423,993.02 and Hospital & Clinic Unpaid $326,036.51.
The council carried the payment motions on a roll-call vote with all members present voting "Yes." The meeting minutes do not record additional budget discussion tied to the payloader payment during the session.
