Durham County to collect Community Health Assessment responses in person and online

Durham County announced a community health assessment (CHA) survey to run with volunteers in blue shirts collecting responses in English and Spanish; the CHA runs every three years and takes roughly 10'to 15 minutes to complete.
County staff announced that Durham County will conduct its periodic Community Health Assessment (CHA) to assess strengths and needs related to community health and well-being. Clerk Lehi Wallace said volunteers from the Durham County Department of Public Health and partners including Duke Health and North Carolina Central University will be stationed at events and locations around the county to collect responses; completed surveys will be anonymous and participants will receive a thank-you gift.
"The CHA is a public health survey conducted every 3 years to assess Durham County's strengths and needs regarding the community's health and well-being," Clerk Lehi Wallace said. The announcement said the survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes and will be available in English and Spanish; staff directed listeners to healthydurham.org for the 2023 assessment and executive summary. The county urged residents to look for volunteers wearing blue T-shirts labeled "survey team."
