The Board of Trustees voted to rescind its prior approval of the Minarets Clay Target Team, a matter first approved at the Sept. 12, 2023 meeting. Interim Superintendent Robert Frausto reported that Spring Valley Ag Boosters has assumed responsibility for the program and has purchased insurance through Philadelphia Insurance Companies; the team is also insured through the USA Clay Target League Inc.
Trustee Elisabeth Parish moved to rescind the district's approval and Trustee Seth Waltner seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. The board did not authorize ongoing district oversight or funding for the team; district staff described the change as a transfer of operational responsibility to the booster organization.
The board recorded the change as a formal action and there was no recorded public comment or request for further board direction on the matter during the meeting.
