The Chatom Union School District Board of Trustees elected Trustee Steve Soderstrom as Board President and Trustee Alison Carvalho as Clerk during the Dec. 17 regular meeting, with each nomination approved by recorded 4-0 votes.
Trustee Karen Macedo was nominated and approved as Trustee Representative. The Board also designated the Superintendent to serve as Secretary to the Board and approved verification of signatures; all organizational actions passed by unanimous roll-call votes. The reorganizational items set the Board's officer assignments for the coming term and were handled early in the meeting as part of the organizational agenda.
