He said the commission’s report is due to the legislature by September 1 and that drafts under active development may be expensive, which will affect likelihood of enactment.
"None of these outcomes from the school funding interim commission are law," Mike said, adding that staff and trustees should closely monitor developments and be prepared to advocate with legislators. He noted some proposals (for example, a CAMPS proposal) appeared to lack momentum within the commission but could still be advanced by legislators outside the commission process.
