Chatom Elementary launches attendance campaign after strong Back-to-School turnout

Chatom Elementary Principal Sara Cruz told the board that the school has seen a strong start to the year, with "more than half of families attending Back-to-School Night" and staff completing i-Ready diagnostics and ELPAC testing as part of fall assessments.
Cruz said the school has launched an "Every Day Counts and Every Minute Matters" attendance campaign that offers students the opportunity to earn Jamba Juice gift cards for good attendance, and she announced a BMX assembly aimed at promoting anti-bullying and motivating students during the school year. The updates were provided as part of the district's informational reports on Sept. 10.
