The Chawanakee Unified School District Board of Trustees recorded three procedural motions during its Sept. 27, 2024 special meeting, each of which passed unanimously. The minutes state that the meeting "was called to order by Board President Barbara Bigelow at 8:01 AM."
Shortly after the call to order Trustee Elisabeth Parish moved "to adjourn to travel to Sanger." Trustee Jessie Hutchens seconded the motion; the minutes note the motion "passed unanimously" with votes recorded as Ayes: B. Bigelow; J. Hutchens; E. Parish. The board later recorded a motion at 8:55 AM, again moved by Parish and seconded by Hutchens, to reconvene in the Sanger Unified School District for the superintendent search visitation. That motion also passed unanimously.
The meeting included an agenda item listing a closed session on public employment under Government Code Section 54957, but the minutes state, "There was no Closed Session."
