Board approves new 3D Design elective, textbook purchases and FFA trip schedule

The board approved a new high-school elective, 3D Design, proposed by Principal Ashley Bourdon, who said current staff will teach the course and supplies will be paid from AIMS or Block Grant funds. Trustees also approved the purchase of more CC History II dual-enrollment books for Minarets High School to accommodate larger enrollment.
In addition, the consent agenda included a slate of Minarets FFA overnight field trips for the 2024-25 year (including national convention in Indianapolis, Sacramento leadership events, UC Davis Field Day, and state finals in San Luis Obispo among others). The board approved the consent agenda and those field trips unanimously during the meeting.
