Board approves HVAC replacement, drainage plan and accepts CRMA inspections

Director of Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Nick Von Flue presented CRMA's annual site inspections covering six school sites and reported four minor findings across the district. The board voted to accept the inspection reports and approved any recommended follow-up actions.
Von Flue also notified trustees that the HVAC unit in Room 3 at North Fork School is beyond repair (units in Rooms 1-8 are about 25 years old and replacement parts are discontinued) and recommended replacing the unit; the board approved the replacement. He further described standing-water issues at Hillside Elementary caused by development built after the school and said the district is working with the original contractor to recover warranty dollars while proceeding with a drainage-install plan. All motions passed unanimously.
