The board accepted an emergency repair for the failed lead pump at Minarets High School’s CP‑9 wastewater lift station. Director of Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Nick Von Flue told trustees the unit ‘‘experienced a catastrophic fail and was in need of replacement’’ and said the station pumps wastewater three miles to the district’s wastewater treatment plant and "supports both Chawanakee Academy Charter, Minarets High School as well as Minarets Crossing."
Trustees treated the repair as an emergency purchase and accepted the work. The district recorded the failure and acceptance so the repair can be closed out administratively and the site returned to normal operation.
