The North Las Vegas Library District Board of Trustees approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nevada Hand to formalize a partnership that will provide on-site library programming, outreach and resource navigation at Nevada Hand'managed affordable housing in the city.
Shelly Alexander described the MOU as "a formalization of a partnership to provide on-site library programming, outreach, and resources to help support the residents who live in those communities." She said potential programs include storytime, technology assistance and community-resource navigation and emphasized there is no cost associated with the agreement.
Trustee Henry moved to approve the MOU and Vice Chair Acosta seconded; the motion passed on a voice vote. The action authorizes the library to enter the formal agreement and continue outreach work at Nevada Hand sites.
