City receives unmodified audit opinion for FY2025 financial statements

The City of North Las Vegas received an unmodified audit opinion on its fiscal year ended June 30, 2025 financial statements, Crowe LLC partner Kathy Lai told the council. Lai said the unmodified opinion indicates the financial statements are fairly stated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Lai also said there were "no material corrected or uncorrected misstatements" in the financial statements and that Crowe is independent of the city. Finance Director Will Riggs told the council the federal single-audit (schedule of federal financial assistance) remains pending release of the federal compliance supplement and will be issued when that supplement is available. The council moved to receive the audit and the motion passed.
