The North Las Vegas City Council swore in Christopher Cannon as municipal court judge during its Nov. 19 meeting. Judge Kent administered the oath and Cannon signed the oath paperwork in front of council and family.
Cannon thanked those who supported his appointment and pledged to serve faithfully. "I would like to thank everybody, that has supported me to get to this position either, through city service, my family who's here to support me," Cannon said while accepting the office. The mayor and council welcomed Cannon and the meeting then moved on to other council business.
