Council recognizes Left of Center Art Gallery as Business of the Month and accepts JustServe City award

The council presented a certificate recognizing Left of Center Art Gallery as the November 2025 Business of the Month. Councilwoman Ruth Garcia Anderson outlined the gallery's history—founded in 1987 by Vicki Richardson and converted from a for-profit gallery to a nonprofit in 1997—and highlighted its exhibits, workshops and large African art collection.
"This month, I'm excited to recognize Left of Center Art Gallery as our November 2025 Business of the Month," Councilwoman Ruth Garcia Anderson said, describing the gallery's work connecting artists and residents. Kimberly Jacobs, speaking for the gallery, invited residents to visit and use the gallery's studio and library resources.
The council also accepted a JustServe City award from a JustServe representative, Leanne, who explained the volunteer platform and noted that North Las Vegas recently became a JustServe city. "The JustServe City Award recognizes those cities... that have a culture of volunteerism," the presenter said, thanking city staff for partnership and outreach. Councilmembers applauded both recognitions and invited continued community engagement.
