Deputy Clerk Daniel Ruckdeschel and meeting minutes note a $1 million grant committed through Nassau County Legislator John Ferretti to offset treatment costs, with $500,000 received. The minutes also record a reported $1.1 million federal commitment in the 2025/2026 federal budget (attributed to Congressman Thomas Suozzi) that staff later said was withdrawn amid a continuing resolution and cuts to discretionary spending. The Village was told WIIA state funding is capped at $4.6 million; D&B is evaluating the ground tank and AT&T/CMS are involved in antenna analyses. Lead and copper letters were mailed to residents with galvanized services.
