Board approves consent items, 2023–24 audit and SARC reports

At its Jan. 16 meeting, the Corning Union High School District Board unanimously approved routine consent items, including minutes from Dec. 12, 2024, multiple warrant ranges and personnel actions.
Trustees also approved the 2023–24 Audit Report and the 2023–24 School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs). Trustee Larry Glover noted a 6% net position line in the audit that the district's Chief Business Officer Diana Davisson said was likely a typographical or formula error and would be reviewed; staff committed to follow up. On the SARCs, staff explained small-program reporting thresholds and credential reporting changes.
The approvals passed with the recorded vote showing trustees Tony Turri, Jim Bingham, Cody Lamb and Larry Glover voting aye; Trustee Reid Lamson was absent.
