Village staff reported ongoing sampling and testing of Wells 1–3 after AOP/GAC installation, noting additional testing for newly monitored contaminants at approximately $16,000 per well. A new steel building over the GAC tanks has been completed and Plant 2 construction is underway.
On funding, minutes state a $1 million county grant was committed through County Legislator John Ferretti, with $500,000 already received. The minutes also record that Congressman Thomas Suozzi informed the Village of a $1.1 million commitment in the 2025–2026 federal budget; the Village requested repurposing that federal allocation toward the installation of a new ground tank. A master project schedule prepared by PRI is expected to run through completion by May 1, 2025.
