The Village of Farmingdale recorded motions to convene and subsequently close the Board of Assessment Review. Trustee Cheryl Parisi moved (and Deputy Mayor William Barrett seconded) to convene the Board at 5:00 p.m. to consider assessment appeals; the record notes two cases with documentation were approved for reductions in assessed value and two verbal requests were presented without documentation (one citing environmental concerns and one citing neighborhood comparables).
Later in the meeting the trustees approved restoring assessments back to original negotiated amounts by Scott Stone for the 2025/26 tax year (Resolution #2025-02-28). The Board of Assessment Review was formally closed by motion from Trustee Parisi seconded by Trustee Rosasco (Resolution #2025-02-34).
