Code Department staff reported several operational and event-related items at the March 3 work session.
Staff said weekly inspections of parking meters continue and that electrification of all parking meters is underway. New sign posts and signage are being installed by DPW. The department also addressed noise issues on Main Street and said the department would route complaints to the appropriate code or building office for resolution.
Officials noted they are reviewing Main Street event security with the Nassau County Police Department and planning for LepreCon; the transcript records a planning decision that there will be no parking on the east side of Main Street for the event. A meeting with FBS to discuss a contract was also scheduled.
