Superintendent Weddle reported several operational and program updates during the July 13 meeting. He said there will be no school in October because of teacher professional development days, and he provided district updates on the Clark & Enerson Project and attendance at the ALICAP Safety Summit.
Weddle also said that under LB 966 the district will expand free meals so that students who qualify for reduced-price meals will receive meals at no cost. He described the Summer Lunch Program as "a great success" this year and expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the program's operation.
