The Avon Town Council on July 31 appointed Jennifer Bennett, Director of Senior and Social Services, as the town’s Municipal Agent for the Elderly and Municipal Agent for Veterans, each appointment filling a vacancy with terms expiring Dec. 31, 2025.
The council also appointed Neil Dryfe, Avon’s new Chief of Police, to the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) Public Safety Council and the North Central Connecticut EMS Council for terms to Dec. 31, 2025. Appointments were made by unanimous vote.
