Parks report shows program growth and heavy trash collection in spring quarter

On waste collection, staff said the city collected an "about 800 and some bags or barrels of trash" during the quarter; a board member later referenced the specific figure "838 bags of trash." Parks staff said these figures will be used in the next quarterly report and that a more detailed report was provided to the board of aldermen. The board praised staff's outreach and the level of community participation.
Staff said the metrics will be updated after the 2nd 0.25 quarterly meeting and that the full report will be provided at the next board meeting. The metrics will also help with departmental budget projections for FY26.
