The Notus City Council on Sept. 15 unanimously approved a FY2025 budget amendment to apply $269,680.00 from the General Fund LGIP savings account toward the purchase of land at 246 Fargo Ave in Notus. Mayor David Porterfield reviewed the amendment during a noticed public hearing and said there were no written comments and no speakers signed in.
The hearing record shows the amendment was discussed during the meeting and council then dispensed with the rule requiring ordinances be read on three separate days before voting. Councilman Devin Krasowski moved to approve the ordinance, Rob Hartsock seconded, and the roll call vote was unanimous. The ordinance will be filed per city procedures and the land purchase will proceed within the amended budget allocation.
