Council votes to raise Local Option Tax rate, schedules June 2 community workshop

The council did not record the new rate amount in the meeting minutes; staff indicated the workshop will be the venue to present proposed rate figures, projected revenues and intended uses. The vote sets the procedural step to proceed toward an updated tax rate and places a public meeting on the calendar where residents can ask questions and comment.
