Arts master plan kicked off; commission to coordinate project ideas for 2027 budget

Tanisha Jones reported that the arts master plan kickoff took place this week and that the consultant team will begin work; she said stakeholder lists and meeting schedules are being assembled and that the commission can expect the first invoice in July. "We had a kickoff meeting this week, actually, and it went fantastically," Jones said, and she described plans for focus groups, one-on-one stakeholder meetings, and at least one commission meeting where the consultants will participate.
Commissioners asked whether the master-plan team will meet with this commission and Tanisha confirmed they will, including a focus group after one meeting and community focus groups. Commissioners and liaison discussed aligning project ideas captured for 2027 with master-plan priorities where appropriate.
