Sylvania accepts easement to create redundant water feed to Regency Hospital

Ross Ramsdell agreed to grant the necessary easement across his property; in exchange he requested a waiver of a $2,500 tapping fee for a one-inch domestic service connection on his land.
Shaw described the agreement as a beneficial trade: the city secures the easement to improve hospital resiliency and the property owner receives a reduced tapping fee. Council approved Ordinance 41-2026 accepting the easement and dedicating it for public purposes as an emergency measure.
