Council recorded committee-sponsored ordinance readings on equipment disposal and street work.
Ordinance No. 2026-35 (Parks & Recreation committee) is a second reading authorizing the city manager to dispose of four (4) vehicles and a tractor with trailer located at Belleview Park. The Service Committee presented two first readings: Ordinance No. 2026-38 authorizes the city manager to prepare and submit an application to participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or Local Transportation Improvement Program(s), and Ordinance No. 2026-39 authorizes advertising for bids for the 2027 city street hot-mix resurfacing improvements (City Project No. 2027-100) and reserves the city's right to reject bids and rebid as necessary.
No final vote on the resurfacing bid authorization or OPWC application occurred at the May 5 meeting; the items remain in committee/readings for further action. The disposal ordinance proceeded to second reading and remains scheduled for the normal ordinance process.
