Council adopts ordinance authorizing disposal of Parks & Rec vehicles

At third reading Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-35, a Parks and Recreation Committee measure authorizing the city manager to dispose of four vehicles and a tractor with trailer located at Belleview Park. Mr. Mayo raised a question about whether the equipment would be sold for parts or junked; Council heard that prior departments had disposed of vehicles similarly.
After limited discussion, Mr. Mayo "called the question" and the clerk recorded a roll-call vote of all ayes. Mayor Ralph Petrella declared Ordinance No. 2026-35 duly adopted; the ordinance will go into effect on June 11, 2026.
