Avon City Council adopted Ordinance No. 15‑26 on Feb. 23, 2026, authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with MKSK for site design services for the Traxler Park/Arboretum project.
Law Director John Gasior explained that the amendment to the ordinance struck references to identified locations for vehicle and pedestrian access—those locations had not yet been determined. Council approved the amendment and then adopted the ordinance as amended; all votes were recorded 7–0. The action authorizes the mayor to execute an agreement with MKSK for site design services; the meeting record does not include contract dollar amounts.
The ordinance moves the Traxler Park project into a formal design phase and defers specific access decisions to subsequent site planning.
