DPW Superintendent Jeff DeMuri told the committee the department has committed to several park improvements for the summer, including tree removal and topographic imaging of the seven-acre parcel at Lodal Park to inform leveling work. He said crews removed stairs at Terrace/Park Hill as requested.
DeMuri also reported staffing challenges: "The DPW has been having a hard time finding summer workers this year." Committee members discussed the expiring CUPPAD Parks and Recreation Plan and whether to pursue a new plan in conjunction with future grant applications; Ken Wood suggested a resident survey to gather input on priorities.
