City Manager Michael Stelmaszek and Mayor Joe Groeneveld described the event as honoring service members and veterans and commemorating the program's first year. Council approved the request on a motion by Michael Flaminio, seconded by Cynthia Dixon-Miller; the motion carried unanimously.
The authorization permits up to $900 for event expenses; staff will execute event logistics and report any changes to the council as needed.
